A slightly philosophical bent to today's poem which I hope you appreciate

Keep writin' and recitin'

Meditation

Think about the word, together.
Liberate objectivity
from relationship bias,
separating strands of meaning,
untwist them like twine
ignoring the inherent irony.
It starts with respect, equality and rights.
Making enemies of different thinking,
beliefs, heritage, tradition, skin or partner
is un-evolved thinking at its zenith.

Consider humanity at its best,
contrast it with every decision
grounded in hate, how quickly aggression
became the vocabulary of negotiation.
Note how greed is always a contributing factor.
Do your own research, seeking expert counsel.
Draw your own conclusion as you
discover the wisest voices have the gentlest spirits.
Examine how those who understand alone
value together the most.
